Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE the Plans and Specifications for the Pleasant Hill Road Slide Repair Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be received on Thursday, Septemmber 15, 1988, at 2 : 00 p.m. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish the Notice to Contractors in accordance with Section 20392 of the Public Contract Code, and DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated contract cost of the project is $100, 000. 00. It is to be funded by the Federal Highway Administration. 6 III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors the Plans and Specifications for the Pleasant Hill Road Slide Repair Project. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan. It has been determined that this project is exempt from CEQA requirements as a Declared Emergency under Statutory Exemptions, Section 15269 (a) . The slide repair is an emergency repair and will have no significant effect on the environment. The Board hereby concurs in said determination.
