BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The relatively remote dead-end street behind the Willowbrook Apartment complex in West Pittsburg is a haven for drug dealers. According to several witnesses, individuals openly sell drugs out of parked cars and use the street to park cars for convenient get-aways. The West Pittsburg Crime Task Force has suggested that one way to deal with the blatant drug activity in the area is to prohibit parking on Mary Ann Avenue. If people are unable to park and the street is posted "Not a Through Street" as well, there would be no reason for vehicles to be on that street.
