SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
Authorize Community Development Department staff to apply to the County
Assessor for a merger of parcels 409-152-016 and 409-152-017 in the North
Richmond Redevelopment Project Area.
FISCAL IMPACT
None
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
The Redevelopment Agency has completed the acquisition of 8 contiguous
parcels in .the North Richmond Redevelopment Project Area for the purpose of
constructing affordable housing. One of the parcels, 409-152-017 was a
tax-defaulted property which was acquired from the County. The parcel is a
total of 240 square feet ( 2. 4 ' x 1001 ) .
In order to create a developable, parcel it would be necessary to merge this
parcel with the adjacent parcel, 409-152-016. The resultant parcel would
be 5240 square feet ( 52. 4 ' x 100 ' ) and would be in a final developable
condition.
