HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 07261988 - 1.61 1—ofd THE BOARD 'OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY9 CALIFORNIA ' Adopted this Order on July 26 , 1988 .r. by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson & Schroder NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Certification of "Fair Market Value") of West County Justice Center, ) Resolution No. 88/472 Project B, Richmond ) j Budget No. : 4411-4101 Authorization No. : 0928-WHIOIB In accordance with the County Jail Capital Expenditure Bond Act, on November 17, 1983 , the County made application to the!'California Board of Corrections for a grant to partially fund the construction of a 560-bed Type II detention facility to house sentencediand unsentenced inmates; and The Board of' Corrections approved the grant application committing funds to be used for. construction, .but not to exceed 75 % of total eligible project costs; and i As a condition of approving its contract with the County; the Board of Corrections requires a resolution from the Board of Supervisors certifying the site's "fair market value" (part of the County's project cost match).; and The "fair market value" is determined to be the sum of site acquisition and imprvements costs as summarized in the attached Exhibit A; the site acquisition cost is based on the appraisal by an independent fee appraiser as set forth in the attached Exhibit B, which has been filed in County of Contra. Costa v. Pinole Point Properties, Inc. , et al. , Contra Costa County Superior Court Action No. 304210, as the basis for the County's deposit of probable compensation. - BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County that, for purposes of the contract with the Board of Corrections, the "fair, market value" of the West County Justice Center; has been determined to be $4,965,000, as based partially on the appraisal summarized in Exhibit B. r I hereby certify that this is 3 true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Ss*pervisors on the date shown.
