THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on September 15 , 1987 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers , Fanden, Torlakson, Schroder.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak.
ABSTAIN: None.
Resolution No. 87/551
SUBJECT: Formation of a Pleasant Hill BART Station Redevelopment
Project Area Committee (PAC)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, on July 10, 1984, by
Ordinance No. 84-30, adopted the Pleasant Hill BART Station Area
Redevelopment Plan pursuant to California Health and Safety Code
Section 330000 et seq.
The Contra Costa County Planning Commission, on September 1, 1987,
by Resolution No. 42-1987, selected the amended project area and
approved the Preliminary Plan for the Pleasant Hill BART Station
Area Redevelopment Plan Amendment.
Pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33385, a Redevelopment
Agency shall either call upon or consult with the residents and
existing community organizations to form a project area committee.
The formation of a project area committee was called for upon
adoption of the . Preliminary Plan for the original project area.
However, a committee was never created due to a lack of residents
and members of existing community organizations to serve on such a
committee. No further displacement of low- or moderate-income
families is contemplated in the existing project area. However,
the area to be added does contemplate the possibility of displace-
ment of low- and moderate-income residents.
The Board of Supervisors hereby instructs the Community Develop-
ment Director to call upon the residents and existing community
organizations in the Pleasant Hill BART Station Area to form a
Project Area Committee.
The Community Development Director is further instructed to report
to the Board within sixty ( 60) days concerning the proposed com-
position of the Project Area Committee.
The action of the Board of Supervisors on August 18, 1987, calling
for the formation of a Pleasant Hill BART Station Redevelopment
Project Area Committee is hereby rescinded.
