Agreement No. 86-5006-03770 N 356
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(_S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Authorize the Board Chair to execute and submit certain
Closeout Documents for the grant awarded under the State
Education Coordination and Grants (SECG) Cooperative Agreement
No. 86-5006-03770 N 356 (County 419-8063), for the period
March 1, 1987- June 30, 1987, for Job Training Partnership Act
(JTPA) 8% Funds.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None. One hundred percent federal funds.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
On February 24, 1987, the Board authorized submission of
Cooperative Agreement No 86-5006-03770 N 356 to the California
Department of Education. The initial award of $28,136.00, to
be used for "GAIN" eligible participants, was for the period
March 1, 1987 to June 30, 1987. On April 28, 1987 and June 2,
1987, the amounts of $64,516.00 and $16,597.00, respectively,
were added in authorized modifications to the agreement.
These brought the total of the grant award to $109,249.00.
We have been requested by the State Department of Education to
file Closeout documents for the period March 1, 1987 through
June 30, 1987. For that period, the amount of $28,136.00 has
been expended, leaving an unexpended amount of $81'7.113.00,
which will be carried over into program year July 1 "'1987-June
30, 1988.
A local match of $32,672.00 was provided by the Acalanes
School District.
