MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: August 25, 1987 SUBJECT: Reject Bids Received on August 20, 1987 for Grayson Creek Desilting Project, Project No. 7520-6B9313-"7 Specific Requests or Recommendations & Background & Justification RECOMMENDED ACTION: As the Governing Board of the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District REJECT all proposals and re-advertise the project at a later date. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The Plans and Specifications for the Grayson Creek Desilting Project were approved and advertised on July 28, 1987. The bids were received and opened at 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, CA, Thursday, August 20, 1987. The bid amounts were as follows: 1 . Winton Jones $149,100.00 2. Pfister Excavating $160,500.00 3. Cooper Crane $191,250.00 All bids exceeded the amount budgeted for the project. The engineer's estimated construction cost was $130,500.
