C-87-2628 RFP This responds to the Board ' s July 21, 1987 , directing that County Counsel report on the mentioned litigation which seeks to prevent the Federal Housing and Urban Development Department from selling housing covered by federal low income housing regulations . On July 16, 1987, the District Court granted a preliminary injunction restraining the sales in question. The federal government has 60 days within which to appeal the District Court' s order . If the case is not appealed, it is expected that it will be tried on cross-motions for summary judgment.
