Such bill shall include the nearly $10,000 for the 18-hour period of May 24 and May 25 in Rodeo plus all additional costs incurred by the Sheriff ' s Department. The county should invite other cities in Contra Costa to also itemize their costs and submit a claim. Further, the Board of Supervisors requests our state legislative delegation and lobbyist to pursue reimbursement of our local costs through legislation, if necessary. BACKGROUND The extraordinary circumstances surrounding the handling of the Larry Singleton parole by the Department of Correction resulted in significant real costs for Contra Costa County. We should pursue reimbursement of these costs to underscore our opposition to the manner in which the matter was handled until finally resolved.
