TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO . 3191
ABSTAIN : None Supervisorial District III
SUBJECT : Speed Limits on BLACKHAWK ROAD ( Road No . 4331D )
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT :
On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and
recommendations thereon by the County Public Works Department ' s
Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to the County Ordinance
Code Chapter 46 -2 ( Sec . 46 - 2 . 002 ff. ) , this Board hereby
determines that the present speed limits) established on the
below-described road , a street within the criteria of Vehicle
Code Section 22358 is ( are) more than reasonable and safe , and
hereby determines and declares that the following speed limits)
is( are) most appropriate , reasonable , and safe prima facie speed
limit( s) there :
Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California
Vehicle Code , no vehicle shall travel in
excess of 35 miles per hour on that portion
of BLACKHAWK ROAD ( Rd . # 4331D) , Danville ,
beginning at the intersection of Camino
Tassajara and extending northerly to a point
700 feet north of the intersection of Si Iver
Maple Drive , thence , no vehicle shall travel
in excess of 45 miles per hour on that
portion of BLACKHAWK ROAD ( Rd . # 4331D )
beginning at a point 700 feet north of the
intersection of Silver Maple Drive and
extending northerly and westerly to the
intersection of Mount Diablo Scenic Drive.
(Traffic Resolution # 2761 pertaining to the existing 45
miles per hour speed limit on BLACKHAWK ROAD is hereby
rescinded . )
