HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09231986 - X.1 �1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on September 23, 1986 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson, Powers NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None -------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBJECT: Camino Tassajara/Sycamore Valley Road Traffic Problems On September 16 , 1986 the Board requested the California Highway Patrol to enforce load limit restrictions on Camino Tassajara in the Danville area in an effort to control construction traffic problems in that area. The Board also requested staff to notify the City of Danville of this action. Michael M. Davis, City Manager, City of Danville, appeared before the Board this date and requested that the Board reconsider their action of September 16 . He noted that enforcement of load limits on Camino Tassajara resulted in increased construction traffic on Sycamore Valley Road and placed the entire burden of safety and road deterioration on the City of Danville. He requested. that County staff meet with representatives of the City of Danville in an effort to work out a solution. Supervisor Robert Schroder noted that the problem was a total community concern and agreed that such a meeting should occur.
