CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Failure to respond positively to the request to provide $7,500 in Housing Authority funds to the Pittsburg Police Department for continuation of the Special Drug Enforcement Program could result in many of the gains made in the El Pueblo area being lost and an escalation of drug-related activities. Additionally, by a negative response the Board of Commissioners would be acting in a manner contrary to its adopted position of providing decent, safe and sanitary housing for low-income families.
