Bragdon Contra Director of Community Development DATE: September 9, 1986 l.�l. ^ SUBJECT: General Plan Amendment Request for Bettencourt Property - Camino Tassajara Road SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION Authorize a General Plan review as requested by Braddock and Logan Associates for two parcels of a total of 324 acres known as the Bettencourt property located along Camino Tassajara Road. In authorizing a review, staff will proceed with a report which will then be scheduled for a public hearing before the San Ramon Valley Regional Planning Commission. Following this, the Commission would forward this recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for a final determination after a public hearing. BACKGROUND Braddock and Logan Associates has requested a General Plan Amendment for the Bettencourt property on Camino Tassajara from Agricultural Preserve designation to that of Country Estates (minimum 1 acre) , Single Family Residential - Low Density (1 to 3 units per acre) and Single Family Residential - Medium Density (3 to 5 units per acre) . The property is presently preserved under the Williamson Act. Braddock and Logan have served a Notice of Non-Renewal . of the Williamson contract with the County Clerk. The property is adjacent to other residential ,developments proposals on three sides. The Community Development staff feels that the proposed General Plan Amendment Study has no potential to conflict with the County General Plan revision program, but is a fine tuning of the General Plan in this area. The approximately seven-acre parcel totally surrounded by the Braddock and Logan holding should be added to this General Plan study. The subject property is shown on the attached map.
