THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on Septeriber 16 , 1986 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fanden, McPeak, Schroder , Torlakson, Powers .
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
SUBJECT: An Amendment to Section 1 and 2 )
of Resolution No. 81/826 and ) RESOLUTION NO. 86/548

WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors established the deep class of
Assistant Health Services Director on July 14, 1981 in Resolution
81/826.
BE IT BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that effective September 17, 1986,
Section 1 of Resolutions No. 81/826 and 8.6/105 is hereby amended to
substitute the following provision: -
1. Salary Range
The compensation in the Assistant Health Services Director
classification shall be based upon a twenty (20) step salary
range as set forth in the current Basic and Exempt salary
schedule as maintained by the Contra Costa County Personnel
Department.
Step 10 is the maximum base salary step for a non-physician appointed
as an Assistant Director of Health Services, except for the Hospital
Executive and Mental Health Director.
Step 20 is the maximum base salary step for a physician Assistant
Director of Health Services and for the Hospital Executive Director
and Mental Health Director.
2. Initial Appointments:
For purposes of initial appointment, the appointing authority
may appoint at any salary step on the range within the base
salary for the physician/non-physician qualifications of the
individual employee and/or for the assignment as specified in
Section 1. A promotional appointment to the class must
result in at least.a five percent (5%) salary increase not to
exceed the maximum base salary step for the individual or
assignment as specified in Section 1.
