HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09161986 - 1.1 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on September 16, 1986, by the following vote: AYES : Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson F Powers NOES : None ABSENT: None TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 3136 ABSTAIN: None Supervisorial District II SUBJECT: Speed Limits on WILDCAT CANYON ROAD (Road No. 16516) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT: On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations thereon bythe County Public Works Department' s Traffic Engineering Division and pursuant to the County Ordinance Code Chapter 46-2 (Sec. 46-2.002 ff.) , this Board hereby determines that the present speed limit(s ) established on the below-described road, a street within the criteria of Vehicle Code Section 22358 is (are ) more than reasonable and safe , and hereby determines and declares that the following speed limit(s) is(are) most appropriate, reasonable , and safe prima facie speed limit(s ) there: Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, no vehicle shall travel in excess 25 miles per hour on the entire length of WILDCAT CANYON ROAD (Rd #16516) , Orinda, that lies within the unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, beginning at the intersection of San Pablo Dam Road and extending westerly through Tilden Park to the Alameda County line . (Traffic Resolution #1355 pertaining to the length of the existing 25 mph speed limit zone on Wildcat Canyon Road is hereby rescinded) 1 hereby certify thal.MIs Is a true and correc+copy of 8n aclloA taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
