The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County Resolves That:
It appears from evidence presented by the County Building
Inspector the above subject property is in a landslide area and
has been damaged beyond repair. The structure has been abandoned
and constitutes a hazard to, and endangers the health, safety, and
welfare of the public.
The structure is hereby declared substandard and a public
nuisance. In accordance with this resolution, the owner of the
subject property is hereby ordered to remove the structure and
clear the site of all debris and leave it in a clean graded
condition.
Within 60 days, the Building Inspection Department is
directed to post and mail notices of this resolution directing
abatement of the nuisance in the manner required by this
resolution, law and for the period required prior to any actual
abatement.
Based upon justifiable good cause therefore being shown by
the owner on this date, this Board Hereby Grants an extension of
time to abate said nuisance of one (11 year subject to the
following conditions :
1. The owner immediately securing the structure and clearing
the involved property to the satisfaction of the Director of
Building Inspection within (30) days; and
2. During the remainder of year the owner maintaining the
secured structure to the satisfaction of the Director of Building
Inspection.
If at the end of said 30 days or during the one year, the
Director of Building Inspection reports to this Board that the
owner has failed to secure or maintain the securing of the
structure and/or clear the property, the Board hereby grants
authority to the Building Inspection Department to proceed with
abatement and contract for the clearing of the subject property.
In the event the County must contract for the work to be done, a
lien shall be placed against the subject property for the cost of
the abatement.
One year after the date of this resolution, this Board will
determine if any further extension of time to abate should be
. granted, the abatement completed or other action taken.
