RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PUBLIC STREET
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County-RESOLVES THAT:
Pursuant to Chapter 3, "General Vacation Procedure," of Part 3 of
Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code, This . Board declares its
intention to vacate the entire County street known as McHarry Ranch Road
which lies westerly of Franklin Canyon Road. This proposed vacation is
generally located in the area of Martinez. A map of the portion to be
vacated is on file in the Public Works Department.
This Board will meet on Tuesday, September 23, 1986 at 10:30 a.m. in
the Board's Chambers, Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez,
California, to hear evidence offered by any interested party as to whether
this is unnecessary for present or prospective public use.
This Board DIRECTS the Clerk to have notice of this matter published in a
newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in this County,
which is selected as the newspaper most likely to give notice to persons
Interested in the proposed vacation, for at least two successive weeks
before the hearing in accordance with Streets and Highways Code, Sections
8320 and 8322. Said notice shall be posted conspicuously along the line
of this proposed vacation at least two weeks before the hearing, in
accordance with Streets and Highways Code, Section 8323.

Board of Supervisors on the date shown.

All of the road located within Contra Costa County, California, known as
McHarry Ranch Road, beginning at a county road known as Franklin Canyon Road
and terminating at McHarry Ranch, also known as No. 121, Verdel Circuit
No. 14 from Frazer to McHarry Ranch, in Ordinance 56, Sections 1, 2, 3, and
29 filed March 8, 1892 in Supervisors' Ordinance Book 1, at page 173, in
Contra Costa County, California.
RESERVING THEREFROM: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 8340 of the
Streets and Highways Code, the easement and right at any time, or from time
to time, to construct, enlarge, maintain, operate, replace, remove, and
renew those existing and in place utilities, as of the date of recording
this instrument, in, upon, over and across any highway or part thereof
proposed to be abandoned, including access to protect the property from all
hazards in, upon, and over the area herein before described to be abandoned.
