SUBJECT: Approve and Authorize Executive Director, Community Services Department, to
execute on behalf of County Amendment Number One to 1986 Community Service
Block Grant Program (CSBG) Contract (Contract #84F-6264)
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) a BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I Recommended Action
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE Executive Director Community Services Department, to execute on
behalf of the County Amendment Number One to 1986 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)
Contract (.#84F-6264) with the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) reducing said
Grant a total of $17,987.00 from $424,413.00 to $406,426.00.
If Financial Impact
The Grant reduction is the result of the Gramm-Rudman Initiative. The fund reduction
will come entirely from the Community Services Department portion of the CSBG grant.
Said reduction is already been accounted for in the proposed 1986-1987 County Budget.

In July 1986, the Department received notifi,cati_on from the State of the attached
amendment. This amendment will result in a reduction of $17,987.00 i"n grant funds:,
All of which will come from the Community Services Department CSGB portion. This
document has been reviewed and approved by County Counsel as to form..
