SUBJECT: In the Matter of Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement with the City of
Orinda to include Glorietta Boulevard and Rheem Boulevard in the
1985/86 Overlay Project. Project No. 0662-6R4081-85.
The Public Works Director has advised that a joint exercise of powers agreement
is necessary in order to include Glorietta Boulevard and Rheem Boulevard, which
are City owned and maintained, in the Contra Costa County 1985/86 overlay project.
The overlay project is to be administered by Contra Costa County at an estimated
cost of $670,000. The City of Orinda share is estimated to be $152,000.
The Public Works Director recommends that the agreement be approved and that the
Board AUTHORIZE the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to execute a joint
exercise of powers agreement between the City of Orinda and Contra Costa County.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the recommendation of the Public Works Director
