Pleasant Hill BART Station Redevelopment Project
RESOLUTION N0 . RA 85-9
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
The Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency is in receipt of an
Agreement from Taylor/Ward Properties, designated Master
Developers for portions of the Pleasant Hill BART Station Area
Redevelopment Project, to purchase certain Agency owned property
at 1401 Las Juntas Way, Walnut Creek, CA, within the project
area, for $232 , 208 . 00.
The Agency has prepared a summary of the agreement, which has
been made available for public inspection, and the Agency and
Board of Supervisors has held a duly noticed public hearing to
consider this agreement.
The Agreement would be in the best interest of the County and the
Agency and is necessary for the implementation of the Pleasant
Hill BART Station Area Redevelopment Plan.
The Agency finds that the purchase price Taylor/Ward Properties
is to pay for the property is not less than the fair market value
of those rights determined at the highest and best use permitted
under the Redevelopment Plan.
Therefore, the Agency hereby resolves that the Executive Director
is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Agency an agreement
with Taylor/Ward Properties providing for the Agency to sell and
Taylor/Ward Properties to purchase that certain property located
at 1401 Las Juntas Way, Walnut Creek, CA for a purchase price of
$232 , 208. 00 and for such other terms and conditions as the
Executive Director deems fair and reasonable. The Agency hereby
authorizes the Executive Director to execute any documents or
take any actions necessary to carry out the agreement with
Taylor/Ward Properties.

for $232 , 208 , 00, is APPROVED .
