SUBJECT: REVENUE LEASE FOR 6.1 ACRES AT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SOLANO WAY AND MARSH
DRIVE - BUCHANAN FIELD, CITY OF CONCORD - SOLANO WAY PARTNERSHIP
RECOMMENDATIONSPECIFIC REQUESTS(S) OR (5) & BACKGROUND ANDN
I. Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Chairwoman of the Board-- of Supervisors to
EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, a Lease for the development of the County-owned
6.1 acre parcel by the Solano Way Partnership.
1I. Financial Impact: $1,000 per month during construction.
III. Reasons for Recommendations/Background: On July 10, 1984, the Board authorized
e Public Works Director to advertise for the development of the 6.1 acre parcel
of land at the southwest corner of Marsh Drive and Solano Way.
On October 15, 1985, the Solano Way Partnership, AKA Magnussen Dodge, was the
successful bidder for the development of the 6.1 acre parcel . On June 4, 1985, the
Board and the Solano Way Partnership executed a Lease Option. The conditions of
the Lease Option have been completed. The County and the Solano Way Partnership
are ready to enter into the 35-year Lease.
