THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

Adopted this Order on July 30, 1985 , by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Powers, McPeak, Torlakson and Fanden
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Schroder
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Fees for permits, inspections, plan checking and other services rendered
by the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District
The Board this day adopted Ordinance 85-44 adopting fees for permits,
inpsections, plan checking and other services performed by the Contra Costa
County Fire Protection District.
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that Chief William Maxfield is REQUESTED
to provide the Board with a detailed review of fees and costs at the
conclusion of six months from the time the ordinance becomes effective.

ORDINANCE NO. 35-44
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CONTRA COSTA
COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
ADOPTING FEES FOR PERMITS , INSPECTIONS ,
PLAN-CHECKING AND OTHER SERVICES
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, as and
constituting the Board of Directors of the Contra Costa County
Fire Protection District , ordains as follows :
Section I . Authority. This ordinance is enacted , in part ,
pursuant to Health and Safety Code §§13146 . 2 (b) , 13217 (b) , 13869,
13871 and 17951 , Government Code §6103 .7 and Section 2 . 207 of
Ordinance #83-44 .
Section II . Notice and Hearing. This ordinance was adopted
pursuant to the procedure set forth in Government Code S§54986 ,
54992 and 65962 and Health and Safety Code §13869 , and all
required notices have been properly given and public hearings
held.
Section III . Permit ,_Inspection._Plan_Checkin&_and_Other
Fees . Each person who applies for , requests or receives a permit ,
inspection , plan review or other service furnished by District
shall , at the time of such application, request or receipt , pay
the applicable fee or fees listed in Exhibit "A" attached to this
Ordinance. As used in this Section, the term "person" means any
natural person, firm, association, joint venture , joint stock com-
pany , partnership, organization, club , company , corporation, trust
or other type of entity.
Section IV. Severability. If any fee or provision of this
Ordinance is held.invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent
jurisdiction, that holding shall not affect the validity or enforce-
ability of the remaining fees or provisions , and the Board
declares that it would have adopted each part of this Ordinance
irrespective of the validity of any other part. .
Section V. Effective Date . This Ordinance shall become
effective 60 days after passage , and within 15 days of passage,
shall be published once with the names of the Supervisors voting
for and against it in the "Contra Costa Times , " a newspaper of
general circulation published in this County.
