Recommended Action Accept $350 gift to Public Health Laboratory from Mr. Reginald Parks in recognition of superior effort and proficiency. Said amount of $350. 00 to be placed in a special fund for use of the Microbiology staff for professional continuing education. II . Financial Impact $350. 00 to Public Health Laboratory. III . Background Over the past thirteen years , Mary Dodd Brashear, a Public Health Microbiologist Specialist, has been instrumental in developing Contra Costa County ' s excellent viral and chlamydial laboratory services . This gift is in recognition of her professional contributions . IV. Consequences of Negative Action Not applicable.
