HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09251984 - 1.36 1.36 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, California Adopted this Order on_September 25, 1984 , by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Powers, Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor McPeak ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: East Contra Costa Ambulance Service Contract The Board received a request from the Health Services Director that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute, on behalf of the County, amendments to the contract with the East Contra Costa Ambulance Service, Inc., to remove the requirement that full paramedic service be in place by September 28, 1984, as previously agreed to by the Board on August 28, 1984. The Board received a letter dated September 19, 1984, from William R. Galstan, City Attorney, City of Antioch, City Hall, P. O. Box 130, Antioch 94509, requesting the Board to defer action on the request of the Health Services Director until the latter part of October 1984 to afford the City an opportunity to explore the option of assuming local ambulance control. Board members discussed the request of the Health Services Director in light of the hearing of the Director on September 26, 1984, relative to the proposed change in ambulance zones. Therefore, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the County Administrator is INSTRUCTED to respond to the inquiry of the City of Antioch. No action was taken on the proposed amendments to the contract with the East Contra Costa Ambulance Service, Inc.
