Participate in State and local administrative meetings and committees concerned with the development of policies, the establishment of guidelines and procedures for the coordination and standardization of health education of the CHDP population. RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT AND STAFF TRAINING 30% Develop appropriate education materials for use with providers and the target population. Consult with staff on effective methods of material presentation and education methods. Reviews publications for educational suitability, maintains and distributes health education material as appropriate. Prepares visual aids and display materials. COMMUNITY OUTREACH 32% Coordinate mass media campaigns. Organize and coordinate child health activities at health fairs and community group meetings. Plan, organize and conduct workshops on topics which would enhance the care and development of children in Contra Costa County. Coordinates various civic groups and schools to encourage interest and activity in the promotion of health of children and their families. Coordinates child health volunteer programs. PROVIDER RELATIONS 10% Plan, organize and conduct inservice training of providers, staff, Social Services Department and community groups. PROFESSIONAL ENRICHMENT 5% Participates in continuing education, professional organizations and committees related to responsibilities. FIELD STUDENTS 3% Plans and supervises training experiences for graduate health education students.
