SUBJECT: Sale of Surplus Real Property
Academy Road Surplus
Project No. 0662-6U4274
Concord Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County owns the real property near Academy Road in Concord, described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Sad property is DETERMINED to be surplus and no
longer necessary for County or other public purposes and its estimated value does
not exceed $10,000.00
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the sale of said property to Valencia
Corporation, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.5, and the Board Chair is
hereby AUTHORIZED to execute a Quitclaim Deed on behalf of the County in consideration
for the payment received in full inithe amount of $2,500.00, the estimated fair market
value of the property.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause the Quitclaim Deed to be delivered
to the grantee.
The Board hereby FINDS thatlthe project will not have a significant effect on
the environment, and DETERMINES that the project is exempt from the requirements
of the California Environmental Quality Act as a Class 12 Categorical Exemption under
County Guidelines and Section 15312 of the State CEQA Guidelines, and DIRECTS the
Public Works Director to file a Notjice of Exemption with the County Clerk. The project
has been found to conform to the General Plan of the City of Concord.

EXHIBIT "A"
That parcel of land as described in the deed to Contra Costa County recorded
May 5, 1955 in Book 2527 of Official Records at page 197, Records of Contra
Costa County, California, being a portion of Lot 29, as designated on the
map entitled "Map of the undivided lands in the Estate of Francisco Galindo",
which map was filed on October 30, 1905 in Volume 0 of Maps, at page 73,
Records of said County described as follows:
Beginning on the line between Lots 29 and 32 as designated on said map at
the most southerly corner of the parcel designated "Cemetery" on said map;
thence from said point of beginning south 380 58' 27" west along the line
between said lots 29 and 32 (the bearing of said line being taken as south
380 58' 27" west for the purpose of this description) 60.44 feet; thence
north 160 50' 03" west parallel with the southwest line of said Cemetery
parcel 186.3.8 feet to a point on the line between said Lots 29 and 32 being
also the centerline of a road designated on said map; thence north 590 43'
57" east along said dividing line, beinq also along said centerline 51 .41
feet to the southwest line of said Cemetery parcel ; thence south 160 50'
03" east along said southwest line 164.17 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing an area of 0.201 of an acre, more or less.
