The purpose of this memorandum is to request an exception to the freeze in order to hire a part-time (20 hours per week) permanent Pharmacist I to replace Mr. Jackson. The part-time Pharmacist I will provide pharmaceutical support to the medical module within the confines of the detention facility and will be of direct benefit to both inmates and staff. The hospital Pharmacy can not provide this support under current staffing levels and it is essential that we fill this position as soon as possible to maintain continuity of service.
