REQUEST TO ESTABLISH Personnel Service Assistant 20/40 PRWACIST I POSITION FOR DETENTION FACILITY/REQUEST FOR EXCEPTION TO THE FREEZE Attached is a P-300 to establish two (2) 20/40 Pharmacist I positions, One of the half-time positions will be placed in the Detention Facility cost center (6455)_. Subject position will provide pharmaceutical sup- port to the medical module and will be of direct benefit to both imnate and staff. The second half-time position will be placed in the depart- mental vacancy pool. This resignation is effective 7/13/84. The purpose of this memorandum is to request an exception to the freeze in order to hire a part-time (20 hours per week) permanent Pharmacist I to replace Mr. Jackson. The part-time Pharmacist I will provide pharmaceutical support to the medical module within the confines of the detention facility and will be of direct benefit to both inmates and staff. The hospital Pharmacy can not provide this support under current staffing levels and it is essential that we fill this position as soon as possible to maintain continuity of service.
