NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Complaints of Unlawful Discrimination ) by Temporary and Project Employees ) RESOLUTION NO. 84/448 In its capacities as the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, and as the Governing Board of the Contra Costa County, Moraga, Orinda, Riverview and West Fire Protection Districts this Board RESOLVES THAT: Upon recommendation of the Personnel Director, who has notified recognized employee organizations of the proposed change, and upon the recommendation of the County Administrator the following resolution is ADOPTED BY THE BOARD: Sections 1401, 1402, and 1403 of the Personnel Management Regulations which prohibit discrimination and provide for Affirmative Action Officer mediation and Merit Board appeals are applicable to all temporary and project employees and the Merit Board .shall hear and make final determinations on complaints of unlawful discrimination by temporary and project employees. In the alternative, a project employee in a represented classification may file a written election with the' Director of Personnel waiving the .employee's right of appeal to the Merit Board in favor of the employee's appeal rights under a specific grievance procedure. f hereby certify that this is a true and correct copy of an action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on the date shown.
