SUBJECT: CONTRACT FOR PUBLIC WORKS SERVICES WITH THE CITY
OF SAN RAMON
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the "Contract for Public Works Services" with the City of San Ramon for fiscal
year 1984-85 and authorize the Chairman of the Board to sign said agreement.
BACKGROUND
The City of San Ramon, since their incorporation, has been purchasing public works
services from the County Public Works Department, and ' the City has indicated that
they wish to continue purchasing these services from the County. The Department of
Public Works believes that the incorporation of the City of San Ramon has presented
local government with a unique opportunity to increase efficiency and economy within
the public sector.
The Public Works Department has offered to the City of San Ramon a competitive pro-
posal for a contract of public works services with the County for fiscal year 1984-85.
On June 26, 1984 the City Council accepted this proposal and approved the "Contract
for Public Works Services".
It is the recommendation of the Public Works Director that the Board authorize the
Chairman to sign the "Contract for Public Works Services" with the City of San Ramon.
