PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE CODE SECTION 24-2.402 IN A
SPECIAL MEETING AT 9:00 A.M. , WEDNESDAY, J T 26,
1978, IN ROOM 107, COUNTY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING,
MARTINEZ, CALIFORNIA.
PRESENT: Chairman R. I. Schroder, presiding;
Supervisors N. C. Fanden, W. N. Boggess,
and E. H. Hasseltine.
ABSENT: Supervisor J. P. Kenny.

In the Matter of
Allocation of State Surplus Funds July 26, 1978
for Support of Various )
Special Districts. )
This being the time fixed for hearing and to determine
distribution of the allocation of State surplus funds for support
of the various special districts within the county; and
Mr. Arthur G. Will, County Administrator, having reviewed
his July 26, 1978 letter to the Board dealing with the distribution
of State assistance to special districts; and
Mr. John Clausen, County Counsel, having commented with
respect to the provisions of Proposition 13 and the allocation of
State funds for special districts; and
Mr. Donald Bouchet, County Auditor-Controller, having
commented that the local level of funding of special districts
will be less than one-half of that of the previous year based upon
allocation of 1 percent of property tax levied on the assessment
roll; and

(including fire protection districts) be riven until the close of
business on August 2, 1978 to file written statements and requests
for funding;
