In the Matter of the Establishment
of a County Service Area Pursuant RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N4. 5
to the "County Service Area Law".

The Hoard of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
does resolve as follows;
THAT there has been filed in the office of the County
Clerk of the County of Contra Costa on the 30th day of January,
1962, a request signed by two members of the Hoard of Supervisors
praying for the establishment of a County Service Area pursuant
to the County Service Area Law to include the territory herein-
after described to furnish extended police protection services
therein; and
THAT this Board proposes to establish a County Service
Area, under the terms of the "County Service Area.Law", to be
known as County Service Area No. P-2, to include all of the herein-
after described territory to furnish extended police protection
services therein; and
THAT a tax sufficient to pay for all such services within
that area, shall be annually levied upon all taxable property within
such hereinafter described territory; and
THAT ten otclock a.m. on Tuesday the 6th day of March,
1962 in the Chambers of the Beard of Supervisors, Hall of records,
Main and Court Streets, Martinez, Contra Costa County, California
be and it is hereby fixed as the time and place for a public hear-
ing on the establishment of the area, at which time the testimony
of all interested persons or taxpayers for or against the estab-
lishment of the area, the extent of the area or the specified type
of extended ,services will be heard. The Clerk of the Board of
Supervisors is directed to publish notice of the hearing at least
once in the Valley Pioneer, a newspaper of general circulation
published in the County of Contra Costa, which is circulated in the
hereinafter described area, the last day of publication to be at
least seven (7) days prior to the data herein set for hearing.
The hereinbefore referred to unincorporated area of the
County of Contra Costa, which it is proposed to be formed into a
County Service Area is specifically described as follows:

COUNTY SERVICE AREA P-2 FORMATION
Police District Formation for the Danville, Mt. Diablo
Country Club and San Ramon Area, described as follows:
Beginning on the west line of Section 23, Township One
South, Range Two West, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, at its
intersection with the center of Bollinger Canyon Road; thence
North along the west line of Section 23 to the west quarter cor-
ner thereof, being the southwest corner of the Alamo School Dis-
trict; thence East along the east -west midsection lines of Sec-
tions 23 and 24, TIS, R2W, to the southwestern line of the Rancho
San Ramon; thence Southeasterly along the southwesterly line of
the Rancho San Ramon to its intersection with the southerly ex-
tension of the western line of the 5.96 acre parcel of land de-
scribed in the deed to Nicholas M. Harper, et ux, recorded
October 24, 1957, Recorders File No. 58924; thence Northerly along
the said extension and along the western line of the said 5.96
acre Harper parcel to the northwest corner thereof; thence Easterly
along the northern line of the said Harper parcel to the northeast
corner thereof, being a point on the southwestern line of the 9.84
acre parcel of land, described as Parcel 2, in the deed to Lyman E.
Stoddard, et ux, recorded January 11, 1938 in Volume 454 of Of-
ficial Records, page 74; thence Southeasterly along the southwestern
line of the said 9.84 acre Stoddard parcel to the northwestern line
of Tract 2575, filed November 6, 1957, in Map Book 68, page 43;
thence Northeasterly along the northwestern line of Tract 2575 to
the most northerly corner thereof, being a point on the north-
westerly line of Tract 2509, filed November 8, 1956, in Map Book
65, page 46; thence Northeasterly along the northwestern line of
Tract 2509 to the northeast corner thereof, being a point on the
northwest line of Tract 2080, filed February 2. 1955, in Map Book
57s page 4; thence Northeasterly along the northwesterly line of
Tract 2080 to the northeast corner thereof, being a point on the
southwestern line of the right of way of the Southern Pacific
Railway Company, San Ramon Branch; thence Northeasterly crossing
the said right of way to the most southerly corner of Alamo Home -
sites Unit No. 1. filed November 16, 1944, in Map Book 27, page
40; thence Northeasterly along the southern line of Alamo Home -
sites Unit No. 1 and the northeastern extension thereof to the
center of the existing State Highway, Walnut Creek to Danville-

thence Southeasterly along the center of the said State Highway
to the center of El Portal; thence Northeasterly following the
center of El Portal to the center of El Rio; thence Southeasterly
along the center of El Rio to the center of El Alamo; thence North-
erly along the center of El Alamo to the southwest corner of Lot 87
as shown on the "Map of Subdivision of Lot As a Portion of Rancho
El Rio," filed May 12, 1910 in Map Book 3, page 51; thence South 670
181 East 1280.35 feet to the most southerly corner of Lot 87, being
the southwest corner of Lot 86; thence East 2141.1 feet to the
southeast corner of Lot 69 (3 M 51), being on the north -side mid-

section line of Section 17, T1S, R1VI, M.D.B. & M.; thence North
along the north -south midsection line of Sections 17, 8 and 5,
being along the eastern line of the Alamo School District to the
northeast corner thereof, being a point on the southerly line
of the Rancho San Miguel; thence Southeasterly along the southern
line of the Rancho San Miguel to the dividing line between Sections
10 and 11, T13, R1W; thence South to the southwest corner of Sec-
tion 11, being an angle corner in the boundary line of the Mt.
Diablo State Park; thence Easterly and Southerly along the park
boundary line to the west line of Section 13 T1S, RlWo thence
South to the southwest corner of Section 13; thence East along
the south line of Section 13 and along the south line of Sec-
tions 18, 17 and 16 T1S, RIE, M.D.B. & M., to the center of
Finley Road; thence Southerly along the center of Finley Road to
the center of Tassajara Road; thence Westerly along the center
of Tassajara Road to the center of Dougherty Ranch Road; thence
Southerly along the center of the Dougherty Ranch Road to the
north line of Lot 52, Dougherty _Ranch, filed May 2, 1894 in Map
Book B, page 45; thence Westerly along the north line of Lot 52
to the northwest corner thereof, being the northeast corner of
Lot 55; thence Westerly along the northern line of Lot 55 to the
northwest corner thereof, being the most southerly corner of Lot
56; thence Northerly along the western line of Lot 56 to the most
northerly corner of the Norris Ranch, filed March 1, 1894, in
'volume F of Maps, page 125; thence Southwesterly along the north. --
westerly line of the Norris Ranch to easterly line of the right
of way of the Southern Pacific Railway Company, San Ramon Branch;
thence Southerly along the eastern line of the Southern Pacific
Railway right of way to its intersection with the northeasterly
extension of the center line of Morris Canyon Road, said point
being an angle corner in the boundary line of Flood Zone 38;
thence Southwesterly along the said extension and along the center
line of Norris Canyon Road to the westerly line of the Rancho San
Ramon; thence Northerly along the westerly line of the Rancho San
Ramon to the most southerly corner of the 32.41 acre parcel of
land described in the Quitclaim Deed to John J. Rock, recorded
October 5, 1951, Recorders File No. 47878; thence Northerly along
the western line of the said Rock 32.4.1 acre parcel, and the
northerly extension thereof to the center of Crow Canyon Road;
thence along the center of Crow Canyon Road to the center of
Bollinger Canyon Road; thence Northerly along the center of
Bollinger Canyon Road to the point of beginning.
