HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-576 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF: C.ALLFORNIA In the matter of Annexation of Territory to County Service Area LIB-5 Pursuant to Government RESOLUTION NO. 57 Code Section 25210.8O at seq. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa does resolve as follows: THAT on December 14, 19061 there was filed with this Board a Resolution of Consent adopted by a majority vote of the members of a city council, of the City of Pleasant Hill authorizin-- the annexation of the hereinafter described territory located within the City of Pleasant Hill to County 'Service Area LT'R-,),, and THAT on December 14, 1961 this Board passed a Resolution fixing Tuesday, January 23, 1916:2 at 10:04 A.M. in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, :fall of records, Dain and Court Streets, Martinez, California, as the time and place "or hearing the matter of annexation of the hereinafter described contiguous territory to County Service Area LIB-5, and THAT notice of the tirn.e and place of hearing was p;iven as required by lair as shown by the affidavits filed with the Clare' s O:f fic : and that there were no objections written or oral to the annexation o_' the hereinafter described property to said County Service Area LIB-5, and THAT the Board of Supervisors hereby orders that said hereinabter described territory= be and is heraby annexed to the County Service Area LIB-5, said territory is more particularly described as - ollows: --------------------------------- PLEASANT HILL INCORPORATION ANNEXATION TO COUNT` SERVICE AREA LIB-5 That portion of the City of Pleasant Hill which formerly was a. part of County Service Area.. LIB-5 (Pleasant Hill Library District), described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the north line of Golf Club Road (40 feet in width) with the center line of Grayson Creek; thence Southerly along the center line of Grayson Creek to the south line of Taylor Boulevard; thence Westerly and Southerly along the southern and eastern lines of Taylor Boulevard to the northeastern line of Brookwood Acres filed April 22, 1913 in Map Book 9, page 217; thence Southeasterly along the northeastern line of Brookwood Acres to the southwest corner of Sherwood Heights filed October 8, 1946 in Map Book 31, page 13; thence Easterly along the southern line of Sherwood Heights to the northeast corner of the parcel of land des- cribed in the deed from Claribel R. Bell to Robert E. Whitfield, et ux, recorded January 21, 1953, Recorders File No. 3241; thence ,youth along the east Line of the said Whitfield parcel 276 feet to the southeast corner thereof, being in the center of Pleasant Hill Road; thence Southerly along the center of Pleasant Hill Road and the southerly extension thereof to its intersection with western extension of the center line of Geary Road; thence Easterly along the said western extension and along the center line of Geary Road, being along the northern line of the City of Walnut Creek to the center line of Putnam Boulevard; thence Northerly along the center line of Putnam Boulevard to its intersection with the western ex- tension of the south line of Lot 1, El Dorado Park Unit No. 1 filed July 8, 1947 in Map Book 33, page 25; thence Easterly along the said extension and along the southern line of Lots 1 to 11 inclu- sive to the southeast corner of Lot 11; thence Easterly crossing, Portola Way to the southwest corner of Lot 12; thence continuing Easterly along, the southern line of Lots 12 to 20 inclusive to the most southerly corner of Lot 20, beim on the westerly line of Eccleston Avenue; thence Northerly along the western line of Eccleston Avenue to the intersection thereof with the northwestern extension of the southwestern line of Lot 103, El Dorado Park, Unit No. 1; thence Southeasterly along the said extension, along the southwestern line of Lot 103 and along the southeasterly ex- tension thereof, to the westerly line of Lot 8, Block I. Gorman, et ux, recorded November 1, 1948, Recorders File No. 40957; thence North along the west line of the said Gorman parcel to the northwest corner thereof; thence East along the north line of the said Gorman parcel (F #40957) and the eastern extension thereof to the eastern line of Pleasant Valley Drive; thence South 5 feet along the east line of Pleasant Valley Drive to the north line of the strip of land, 5 feet in width, described in the deed from Carl E. Mehlsen, et al, to Mathew E.
