The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa resolves as follows: THAT sealed bids are called for demolition and removal of improvements on properties acquired by the County for Pool Garage expansion in accordance with the terms, con- ditions and specifications for a demolition contract on file with the Right of Way Agent, and in accordance with the notice to bidders designated as Exhibit "A`r attached hereto and incorporated herein, and made a part hereof; and THAT the Clerk of the Board is directed to publish said notice once a week for two (2) successive weeps in the "CONTRA COSTA GAZETTEf a newspaper of general circulation pu s e n e County PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa by the following vote: AYES; Supervisors - Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva. NOES: Supervisors - None. ABSENT: Supervisors - Names P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen. RESOLUTION NO. 5 7 EXHIBIT rrArs CONTRA COSTA COUNTY - P'UB141C WORKS IEPARTMENT Martinez, California NOTICE TO BIDrERS Sealed bids will be received in the office of the County Right of Way Agent, 1139 Main Street, Martinez, California, until 2 :00 P.M. on Thursday, February 1, 1962, for the demolition and removal from County property, the following described buildings : Item No. 1 - A two-story wood frame stucco residence, detached garage, and storage shed located at 1224 Escobar Street, Martinez, California. Item No. 2 - A one-story woad frame garage structure, with attached storage shed, located directly to the rear of Item l and fronting on Main Street, Martinez, California. Specifications and proposal forms are available at the office of the County Right of Way Agent,1139 Main Street, Martinez, California. The buildings will be opened for inspection upon request to the County Right of Way Agent. Bidders are required to bid for all items as a lump sum; partial or contingent bids will not be considered. All bidders will be required to submit with bid, a bid bond, cash or cashier's check, in the amount of $100.00, as a bid guaranty. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Demolition Contract with the County of Contra Costa, agreeing that said demoli- tion and removal will be done in accordance with the Specifications for :demolition and removal of Buildings. Bidders will. also be re- quired to submit to the County a performance bond in the amount of 4,000.00 and a labor and material bond in the amount of 50 of the contractor 's estimated cost of labor, as approved by the County. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids received. In accordance with the provisions of the Labor Cade, the Board of Supervisors has determined that the general prevailing wages applicable to the work to be done, which shall be the minimum hourly rates paid on this project, are as follows : Laborers : Group 1 $3.475 Group 2 3.325 Group 3 3.225 Trucks : 4 yds . and under 6 yds . 3.46 6 yds . and under 8 yds . 3.6'' Crane Operators : 15 tons or less 4,335 By Order of the Board of Supervisors W.
