COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO, L-17
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa does
resolve as follows:
'THAT there was riled in the Office of the County Clerk of
the County of Contra Costa on the 28th day of November, 1961, a
written request signed by two members of the Board of Supervisors
requesting, the -establishment of a County Service Area pursuant
to the "County Service Area Law" to include the territory herein-
after described to furnish street lighting services therein; and
THAT this Board did on the 28th day of November, 1961, pass
and adopt its Resolution of Intention to establish said County Ser-
vice Area which said Resolution contained all of the matters re-
quired by Section 25210.15 of the Government Code and did set 10:00

. . on Tuesday, the 2nd day of January, 1962, in the Chambers of
the Board of Supervisors, Hall of Records, Main and Court Streets,
Martinez, California, as the time and place for a public hearing
on the establishment of the area; and
THAT notice of said hearing was duly and regularly given
in the manner prescribed, by publication in the Valley Pioneer,
a newspaper of general circulation circulated in the area as ap-
pears by the affidavit of publication on file herein which said
notice contained all of the matters required to be contained therein
by Section 25210.16 of the Government Code; and that this Board did
on said date at the time and place set for hearing call for protests
as provided by Section 25210.17 and no protests being made either
orally or in writing by any interested persons or taxpayers; and
THAT this Board does find and determine that the services
described in the Resolution of Intention are entirely extended
county Services and does establish the hereinafter described area
as County Service Area L-17 to provide street lighting services
therein; and
The herainbe-Lore referred to unincorporated area of the
County of Contra Costa which is hereby formed into County Service
Area L-17 is specifically described as follows:

COUNTY SERVICE AREA L:_17 FORMATION
Beginning on the westerly line of a 150 feet right of
way of the San Ramon branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad
Company, as said right of way was conveyed by C. M. Dougherty,
et ux, to the Southern Pacific Railroad Company by deed dated
October 10, 1906, recorded October 20, 1906 in Book 120 of Deeds,
page 357, Contra Costa County Records, at its intersection with
the southern boundary line of Contra Costa County, as said bound-
ary line was established by an agreement between the Boards of
Supervisors of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties in December,
1960; thence from point of beginning South 73° 521 04" Test
4672.34 feet along southern boundary line of Contra Costa County
to eastern line of State Highway 21, leading from Danville to
Dublin; thence Northerly along a curve to the left, from which
the center bears South $$0 551 11" West 2580 feet, a distance of
105.05 feet along the said east line of State Highway 21; thence
leaving said State Highway 21 North 730 52t 04" East 1350.15 feet;
thence North 16* 071 56" West 380 feet; thence North 730 521 04"
East 163.65 feet to the beginning of a tangent 237.03 foot radius
curve to the left; thence Northeasterly along said curve 306.13
.feet through an angle of 74° 00' 00"; thence radial to said curve
North 89° 52' 04" East 130 feet; thence North 00 07' 56" East
232.53 feet to the beginning of a tangent 1112 foot radius curve
to the right; thence Northeasterly along said curve 961.31 feet,
through an angle of 490 31' 54" to a point, the radial line to
the center of said curve bears South 40° 361 0211 East from said
point; thence South 590 301 0011 East 29.54 feet to the south--
westerly corner of Lot 47, Tract 2910, filed September 29, 1961
in Map Book 84 page 25; thence along the exterior boundary of
Tract 2910, North 0° 301 East 100 feet; thence South 59° 301 East
51.04 feet; thence North 00 30' East 60 feet ; thence North 890 30'
West 51.04 feet; thence North 110 371 East 203.13 feet; thence
South 75° 23t East 79.55 feet; thence North 11° 37' East 60 feet;
thence South 7$° 231 East 11.25 feet; thence tangent with the last
named course Northeasterly on a curve to the left with a radius of
20 feet, a distance of 29.1$ feet; thence tangent with last said
curve north 15° 021 East 54.31 feet; thence North 540 11' 52" West,
102.22 feet; thence North 10 391 West 39 feet; thence from a tan-
gent that bears South 880 211 Vest along a curve to the right, with
a radius of 133 feet, a distance of 302.64 feet; thence North 640
West 71.14 feat; thence North 180 East 160 feet; thence from a tan-
gent that bears North 720 West, along a curve to the left with a
radius of 410 feet, a distance of 5.80 feet; thence North 17° llt
2111 East 94.72 feet; thence North 420 50t East 373.09 feet; thence
North 520 441 33" East 137.72 feet; thence from a tangent that bears
North 45° 021 4611 East, along a curve to the right with a radius of
135 feet, a distance of 331.74 feet; thence tangent with last said
curve South 5° 501 22" gest 86.87 feet; thence South 49a East 70
feet; thence tangent with the last named course, Southeasterly,
Southerly and Southwesterly on a curve to the right with a radius
of 135.62 feet, a distance of 252.76 feet; thence tangent with
last said curve South 570 461 55" West 93.15 feet; thence South

thence from a tangent that bears South 110 051 East, along a
curve to the right, with a radius of 410 feet, a distance of
197.73 feet - thence South 77" 32' East 164.39 feet; thence
North 410 24; East 151.10 feet; thence from a tangent that
bears North 42° 471 4011 East along a curve to the right with
a radius of 330feet, a distance of 226 feet; thence North 37°
09' 58" East 29. 56 feet; thence from a tangent that bears North
16° 171 East along a curve to the right with a radius of 215

54.04 feet; thence from a tangent that bears North 239 161 43"
Wiest along a curve to the right with a radius of 133 feet, a
distance of 240.51 feet; thence tangent with the last said
curve North 800 201 East 133.27 feet to the southwestern line
of the said right of way of the San Ramon Branch of the Southern
Pacific Railway Company; thence Southerly along the southwestern
line of the said right of way South 34* 50' 06" East 2341.38
feet, more or less to the southern boundary of Contra Costa
County, the point of beginning.
