HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-517 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Resolution of Sale and Summary Abardonment of Superseded Portion of Meadow Lane, County Road RESOLUTION NO. 7 4461. 1 (S. & H. Code 9060.1) The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES: THAT a small portion of that County road, now known as Meadow Lane (County Road No. 4461), and formerly known as Vista Ignacio and described in the Dead, recorded November 106, 1860 in Volume 8 of Deeds, on page 294, and in the Dead recorded June 28, 18062 in Volume 10 of Deeds, at page 61, has been su- perseded by relocation, and that said relocation did not cut off access to any person' s property which prior thereto adjoined the highway., and it therefore appears proper that said portion be summarily abandoned as provided for in Section 960.1 of the Streets and Highways Code-, and THAT the owners of the properties abutting said portion of road to be abandoned have agreed to accept the County' s in- terest in said abandoned portions as consideration And in exchange for portions of adjacent property required by the County for widening of a portion of said highway and/or for payment of a consideration as herein specified, which is to the mutual advan- tage of the County and said owners, and THAT all that portion of said County highway, superseded by relocation, is more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof., be and the same is hereby ABANDONED, and the Clerk of the Board is directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder, and THAT this Board heraby deeds to abutting property owners, the superseded portions of County road herein described and authorizes the Chairman of the Board to -execute said Deeds for and on behalf of the County, and directs the Clerk of the Board to cause the same to be recorded in the office of the County Re- corder upon delivery of their respective considerations, as follows -. Meadow Lane Protect #4461-57-1 Abandonment EXHIBIT "Ate All that real property situate in the County of Contra Costa, State of California, described as follows: Portions of Nista Ignacio, (a County Road) (Now Meadow Lane) , designated as Vista Ignacio upon the map entitled Meadow Village unit No. l", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of Contra Costa County, California, on August 93 1949 in Book 38 of Maps at page 7, described as follows: PARCEL ONE: Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 44 as said lot is so designated upon the said map of '"Meadow Village Unit No. 1"; thence along the southwesterly line of said County Road and the northeasterly line of said Lot 4.4, south 340 09t 30" east (the bearing south 340 091 30" east being taken for the purpose of this description) , 34.63 feet to an angle point in the northeasterly line of said Lot 44; thence continuing along said line south 806 281 30" east, 36.28 feet to a point on a curve to the right with a radius of 349. 24 feet, from which point the center of said curve bears north 330 29t 19" east; thence northwesterly along said curve an arc dis- tance of 62.97 feet to a point on the northeasterly extension of the northwesterly line of said Lot 44; thence along said northeasterly extension south 52° 48t 30" west, 7.65 feet to the point of beginning.
