IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Bids and award-
ing contract for the construction RESOLUTION NO. 4- 9 6
of a 6t x 4c reinforced concrete
box culvert -across Eckley Lane
near Walnut Boulevard.
WHEREAS, this Board having heretofore advertised for bids for
the construction of a bt x 4t reinforced, concrete box culvert across
Eckley Lane neer Walnut.-Boulevard, Walnut Creek,
and this being, the time and place set out in the Notice to Contractors
for the receiving of bids, bids are received from the following and
are read by the Clerk:

Andell, Inc., 4939 Elrod Averse, Castro _Valley
Robert R. Murdoch,, 100 IDrive, Orinda
Gallagher & Burk, Inc.,, ;44 -High Street, Oakland (1)

Albay Construction Co., P. O. Box 1064, Concord
McGuire and Heater, 796 - 66th Avenue, Oakland (21)
Roen Construction Co., Box 4, Danville
and the Public Works Director having recommended to this Board the
bid of Mountain States Construction Co. as the lowest and

said bid (total based on unit prices for estimated quantity:

a work, and which bid is on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Contra Costa County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the
furnishing of labor and materials for said work be and the same is
hereby awarded to said Mountain States Construction Co.

RESOLUTION NO. 49 6
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the District Attorney of Contra
Costa County shall prepare the contract for the doing of said woad.
IT IS FURTMR ORDERED that the Clerk retain the bid bonds
which aecompanied the bids of the next two lowest bidders, Andell,
Ines., and Robert R. Murdoch, until the contract has been folly
executed,
