HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-480 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of :Mending all county services to the RESOLUTION No. 480 city of Pleasant Hill . WHEREAS the City of Pleasant Hill was officially incorpo- rated on November 14, 1961; and WHEREAS the new city has little immediate staff and no immediate revenue to pay for necessary services; and WHEREAS Section 3 +333 of the Government Code of the State of California requires counties to continue to furnish, for the re- mainder of the fiscal year, without additional charge] to newly in- corporated areas, all services furnished to the area prior to the incorporation; and WHEREAS this board wishes to assist the new city in its early formative stage; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all county services shall be extended to the new city for the remainder of the current fiscal year at no additional charge, subject to the reservation that any and all fees involved in these services are to be made payable to, collected by, and retained by this County. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of December, 1961, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors Mel F. Nielsen, Thomas John Coll, Edmund A . Linscheid. NOES: None . ABSENT: Supervisors James P . Kenny, Joseph S. Silva . RESOLUTION NO. 480
