COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Granting Port Stockton Boaters, Inc. ) 6"7 permission to use waterways ) RESOLUTION NO. governed by Contra Costa } County• The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa does resolve as follows* THAT the Part Stockton Boaters, Inc. is granted permis- sion to conduct a Frost Marathon. Race in San Joaquin River from the Stockton Rod and Gun Club to the Antioch Bridge and return, December 3, 1961s at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m** and WHEREAS, said Port Stockton Boaters, Inc. has requested permission of this Board to use the waterways governed by Contra Costa County; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that per- mission is granted to said.Port Stockton Boaters, Inc. to use the waterways governed by Contra Costa County, subject to the follow- ing conditions' 1. That said Fort Stockton Boaters, Inc. shall also receive necessary permission from. Federal and Municipal authori- ties through whose waters this race will progress; 2. That the laws of the State of California relative to speed on rivers and waterways (Sections 267 and 268 of the State of California Harbors and Navigation Code) shall be complied with by said applicant; 3. Participation in this race does not relieve the participants in any way of their individual re- sponsibilities to obey the 4Rules for Navigation of Rivers, Harbors and Inland 'Waters of the 'United States Known as nInland Rules` ; 4. Applicant must comply with Contra Costa County Boating Ordinance No. 1384; 5. Applicant must supply safety patrols to warn ether craft of the race in progress and to render such aid to participating craft as may be necessary. RESOLUTION NO- 426 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of November, 1961, by the following vote of the Beard: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Thomas Jahn Coll. NOES: None ABSENT. Supervisors Edmund A. Linseheid, Joseph S. Silva. 426
