In the Matter of Bids and award-
ing contract for Moraga Road
Reconstruction* RESOLUTION N+O.
377
WHEREAS, this Board having heretofore advertised for bids for
the widening to f our lanes of the remaining two-lane portion of
Moraga Road between Rheem Boulevard and Donald Drive,
and this being the time and place set out in the Notice to Contractors
for the receiving of bids, bids are received from the following and
are read by the Clerk:
Gallagher and Burk, Inc. , 344 High Street, Oakland;
O. C. Jones and Sons: 1520 Fourth Street, Berkeley;
and the Public Works Director having recommended to this Board the
bid of Galla • er & Burk Inc. as the lowest and
best bid ror ng or saia worl7c, an Erils Poard finding that the
said bid (total based on unit prices for estimated quantity:
$ 953.65 ), is the lowest a—n best bid for the doing of
said ''work, and d which bid is on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Contra Costa County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the contract for the
furnishing of labor and materials for said work be and the same is
hereby awarded to said Gallagher & Burk. Inc.
at the unit prices submittedn said 51a.

RESOLUTION NO.
BEE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the District Attorney of Contra
Costa County shall prepare the contract for the doing of said work.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Clerk retain the bid band
which accompanied the bid of the next lowest bidder, 4. C. Jones
& Sans, until the contract has been fully executed..
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of October , 1961,
by the following vote of the Boa-r-6--.
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Teel F. Nielsen,
Joseph S. Silva.
NOES: Nene.
ABSENT: Supervisors Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid.
