CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of State District
Advisory Board and the National AtSOLUTION NoS 5 1
Grazing Advisory Board.
WHEREAS, the Secretary of the Interior is about to
broaden representation on the State District Advisory Board
and the National Grazing Advisory Board; and
WHEREAS, in the past membership has been limited
to livestock and wildlife representatives; and
WHEREAS, future decisions of the advisory boards,
effecting 178 million acres of the national land reserve,
will be of vital interest to western counties; and
WHEREAS, it appears that county representatives
should be members of these advisory bodies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra
Costa County Beard of Supervisors urges the Secretary of
the Interior to give due weight and consideration to nomi-
nations for the National Board made by the National Associ-
ation of County Officials and the nominations for the State
Board trade by the County Supervisors Association of Califomia. .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of October, 1961, by
the following vote of the Boards
AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Dinscheid,
Joseph S. Silva.
NOES: None .
