HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-316 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Sale of $210,000, Orinda Union School District 1957 REt�L M€t�►N NO. 316 ., bonds, Series Z. 1 WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Centra Costa County, State of California, heretofore duly authorized the issuance of $ 953.ft}t principal amount of bonds of Orinda Union School District of Contra Costa County; and further duly authorized the sale of 210, 1 designated as Series E of said bonds at public sale to the best and highest bidder therefor; and WHEREAS, notice of the sale of said bonds has been duly given in the manner prescribed by this Board of Supervisors, and the following bids for said bonds were and are the only bids re- ceived by said Board of Supervisors, to wit: Net Interest Cost Name of Bidder to District Bank of California N.A. , et al $78,380,00 Bank of America X.T. do S„A. and Associates 79,8O4.50 Wells Fargo Bank American Trust Company, et al 79,872.50 Blyth and Company, Inc. , et al 80,784.0 First Western Bank and Trust Company 810246.20 J. Barth and Company 8310794 RESOLUTION NO. AND, WHEREAS, the said bid of Bank of California N.A. , et a1 is the highest and best bid for said bands, considering the in- terest rates specified and the premium offered, if any, NOW, T EREFOR&O BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Super- visors of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, as follows : 1. Said bid of Bank of California N.A. , et al, for par value of said bonds shall be, and is hereby accepted and the Treasurer of Centra Costa County is hereby authorized and directed to deliver said bonds to said purchaser thereof upon payment to said Treasurer of the purchase price, to wit : Par and accrued interest to date of delivery, plus a premium of $ 12.50 Interest Rate Bond Numbers Per Annum E - 1 to E - 40 5 E- 41 to E - 50 3_314 E �- 51 to E - 8Q E - 81 to E - 122 3 E - 123 to E - 210 3 Said bonds shall bear interest at the said rates here- inabove set forth, payable semi-annually on the first daps of May and November in each year, except interest for the first year which is payable in one installment on November 1, 1962 2. All other bids are rejected and the Clerk of this Board is directed to return the bid checks which accompanied the unsuccessful bids. 3. The Clark of this Board of Supervisors is directed to cause to be lithographed, printed or engraved a sufficient num- ber of blank bonds and coupons of suitable duality, said bonds and coupons to show on their face that the same bear interest at the rates aforesaid. PASSED AND ADOPTED this nth day of I R. ker 196.0 by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Edmund A.
