HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-312 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Flatter of the hearing � on petition for proposed incorporation of the City of RESOLUTION NO. 2 "Town of Clayton". WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors by Resolution No. 265 duly and regularly adopted on August 22, 1961, fixed the 19th day of September, 1961, for the hearing on petition for proposed incor- poration of the City of "Town of Clayton"; and this being the time for said hearing; and WHEREAS, Jerry Tara, Deputy County Assessor, appeared before this Board and stated that a tabulation of protests against incorporation of Clayton shows that said protests which have been filed with the County Clerk now total more than 51% of the assessed valuation of land within the area proposed to be incorporated; NOW, THEREFORE, this Board finds and determines that said written protests represent more than 51% of the total assessed value of the property proposed to be incorporated and this Boardts jurisdiction has terminated and the final hearing is therefore closed. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 1961, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Edmund A. :Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva* NOES. Done.
