HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-289 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Policy granting access to Ygnacio RESOLUTION Nd. Q Valley Road between Clayton (7 Road and Alberta Way. WHEREAS, the request of the Ronayne Sales and Develop- ment, Inc. , for a connection to the west side of Ygnacio Valley Road approximately 1,100 feet southwest of the Clayton Road inter- section has been reviewed by the Public Works Department , the Planning Department and the City of Concord; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following shall be the policy as to granting access to Ygnacio Valley Road between Clayton Road and Alberta Ways A. The access to the Ronayne property shall be the only access road allowed on the west side of Ygnacio Road between Clayton Road and Alberta Way; B, Future access to the east side of Ygnacio Valley Read between Clayton Road and Alberta Way shall be limited to a single connection at a point near the Shell. Oil Company pipe line. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that this Board is willing to grant access to the highway at the location requested by the applicant at such time as construction of a major development of the land justi- fying the access is assured. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that future access ,grant shall be subject to the following conditions: A. The plan accompanying the request shows a road extending northwesterly at right angles to Ygnacio Valley Road from the access point to the applicantts property line. This road should be planned as an area collector road, forty feet wide in a sixty-foot right of way; B. Construction of the collector road referred to in (a) above to County standards and construction of all necessary pavement widening, intersection channelization and other work required by reason of the new connection shall be by the applicant; RESOLUTION NO. 289 C. Detailed construction plans and cost estimate shall be submitted for review and approval by the Public Forks Department ; D. Prior to making the connection, the applicant shall enter into an agreement with the County whereby he will do all construction in accordance with the approved plans. The executed agreement shall be accompanied by a fee in the amount of 3% of the estimated construction. cost, to cover inspection of the work a surety bond equal to 100 of the estimated cost of construction to guarantee the completion of the construction work within a stated period, and by a deed granting fee title to the collector road and any other necessary right of way. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of September, 1961, by the following vote of the Board AYES: Supervisors Fames P. Kenny, Teel F. Nielsen, Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva..
