OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of a Request to the Corps of Engineers 275 for a Survey of San Pablo RESOLUTION NO, and Wildcat Creeps . WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Supervisors that the Pub- lic Works Committee of the House of Representatives has authorized the Corps. of Engineers to conduct a survey of San Pablo and Wildcat Creeks in Contra Costa County to determine the feasibility of Federal assis- tance in flood control work on San Pablo and Wildcat Creeks; and WHEREAS, it further appears that due to excessive flood dam- ages caused. by the overflow of these two creeks in 1955 and 1958 the need for such a'survey is urgent; and WHEREAS, it further appears that additional development in the watershed areas where waters enter San Pablo and Wildcat Creeks will further worsen the present critical flood problem along; the lower reaches of these two creeks; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra . Costa, Stats of California, that this Board re- quests the Chief of En ineers to allocate funds in the amount of $65,000 for the fiscal year 1962- -58 for the conduct and completion of such sur- veys on Wildcat and San Pablo Creeks . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Flood Con- trol and Water Conservation District, State of California, is prepared to turn over to the Corps of .Engineers _current field survey data and to assist in all ways in the conduct of any Corps survey. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this resolu- tion be forwarded to. The Honorable Clair Engle and The Honorable Thomas H. Kuchel, United States Senators, to The Honorable John F. Baldwin, Representative in Congress, Sixth District- of California, _.to. Lieutenant General W. K. Wilson, Jr., Chief of Engineers, Department of the Army, Building. T-7, Washington 25, D.C., and to Colonel John Morrison, Dis- trict Engineer,,, San Francisco -District, Department .of the Army, 170 New Montgomery Street, San Francisco.
