In the Matter of Authorizing Sale
of a Portion of. Right of flay and
Execution of Conveyance Deed. RESOLUTION N0.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
does resolve as follows:
THAT the Board of Supervisors authorized acquisition of
certain real property described in the deed from Stanley H. Martin,
et ux, recorded August 6, 1959, in Book 3427 of Official Records
at page 153 for highway purposes, a portion of which was required
for county highway; and
THAT this Board does hereby determine that the following
described portion of said property is no longer required for
highway purposes; and
THAT, pursuant to Section 960.4 of the Streets and Highways
Code, it is hereby determined that said property be sold to the
former property owners and this Board does hereby authorize and
approve the sale of the following described property to Stanley H.
Martin and Wilma Martin, his wife, for the sum of Four Thousand Two
Hundred Fifty Dollars (*4,250):
All that real property in the County of Contra Costa,
State of California, described as follows:
Portion of Lot 25, as designated on the map entitled
"Map of the .Rancho E1 Sobrante accompanying and form-
ing part of the Final Report of the Referees in Parti-
tion of said Rancho" which map was filed in the office
of the Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, State
of California, on March 14, 1910, described as follows:
Commencing at the most westerly corner of the parcel
of land described in the deed from .Merritt M. Mason
and Dorothy N. A. Mason, his wife, to Contra Costa
County recorded May 29, 1956 in Volume, 2776 of
Official Records, at page 343; thence from said point
of commencement south 73° 001 31" east along the
southwesterly line of said parcel of land (2776 OR
343) 93.06 feet to the true point of beginning of the
hereinafter described parcel of land.; thence from said
true point of beginning south 73° 001 31" east, con-
tinuing along said southwesterly-line, 21.92 feet;
thence south 34° 41' 20" east 70.93 feet to the southerly
Sine of the parcel of Sand described in the deed from
Jim Porterfield and Reta Porterfield his wife, to
Wilma Martin recorded August 12,, 1956 in Volume 3209 of
RESOLUTION NO.
Official Records, at page 75; thence south 64° 02'
0" west, along said southerly lane 184.34 feet;
thence north 24* 32' 10" west 65.33 feet; thence
north 560 50' 15 if east 157.16 feet to the true point
of beginning.
Containing, an area of 0.31 acres of land, more or
less.
RESERVING THEREFROM unto the County of Contra Costa,
its successors or assigns, a slope and drainage
casement described as follows:
Commencing at the true point of beginning of the
parcel of land described above; thence south 73°
00' 1" east, along the southwesterly line of said
deed (2776 OR 343), 21.92 feet; thence south 34Q 41'
20" east:, along the westerly line of said deed
(2776 OR 343), 17.00 feet; thence south2° 16' 57"
west 29.60 feet; thence north 720 49' 43 ` west 46.98
feet to the northerly line of the parcel of land
described above; thence north 56° 50' 15" east 45.00
feet to the true point of beginning.
THAT the Chairman of this Board is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a grant deed for and on behalf of the County
of Contra Costa, and cause the same to be delivered to the grantees,
Stanley H. Martin and Wilma Martin, his wife, u on payment of the
said Four Thousand Two Hundred Fifty Dollars (N.25a.00).
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of August, 1961, by the
following vote of the, Board:
AYES: Supervisors - James P, Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen,
Thomas John Coll, Edmund A.
Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva.
NOES: Supervisors - Nene.
ABSENT: Supervisors - None.
