In the Matter of the

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
does resolve as follows :
THAT the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra
Costa, pursuant to the provisions of the Streets and Highways
Code, declares its intention to abandon the hereinafter des-
cribed county reads in the County of Contra Costa, State of
California:
See Exhibit A
THAT this matter be referred to the Planning Commis-
sion for report prior to the date herein set for hearing.
THAT the Board does hereby fix Tuesday, the 3rd
day of October 1961 , at ten o'clock a.m. in the Chambers
of the Board o� Supervisors, Hall of Records, Main and Court
Streets, Martinez, California, as the time and place fixed for
hearing, at which time or on the date to which the hearing is
postponed or continued, the Board of Supervisors will hear
evidence offered by any party interested. If the Hoard finds
from all the evidence submitted that all, or any part of the
hereinbefore mentioned County reads is unnecessary for present

or prospective public use, the Beard will make its order of
abandonment. The County Clerk is directed to cause notice of
said proposed abandonment to be published in the Lafayette Sun
a newspaper of general circulation published in the County of
Contra Costa, which this Board designates as the newspaper
most likely to give notice to persons interested in said pro-
posed abandonment, for at least two weeks prior to the day
herein fixed for hearing; and it is further directed to be
caused to be posted conspicuously copies of this resolution
along the line of the county wade proposed to be abandoned.

RESOLUTION NO. 260
PORTION OF ST. MARYS ROAD IN MORAGA CENTER
TO BE ABANDONED
A strip of land 60 feet wide, the center line of
which is described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of
St. Marys Road, as said road now exists with the direct ex-
tension south 62° 571 east of the northeastern line of the
parcel of land as described in parcel 1 in the deed from The
Moraga Company to Contra Costa County, recorded in Volume
266 of Official Records of Contra Costa County at page 300;
thence from said point of beginning running northeasterly
along said center line, a distance of 1800 feet.
The northwestern line of which strip in the north-
western line of said parcel of land (266 OR 300) and the
southeastern line of which strip is the southeastern line of
said parcel of land (266 OR 300) .
PORTION OF MORAGA ROAD IN MORAGA CENTER
TO BE ABANDONED
A strip of land 50 feet wide, the center line of
which is described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the center line of
St Marys Road, as said read was described in the deed from
The Moraga Company to Centra Costa County, recorded in Volume
266 of Official Records of Contra Costa County at page 300,
with the center line of gaga Road, as said road now exists;
thence from said point of beginning running northeasterly
along said center line of Moraga Road, a distance of 765 feet.
EXCEPTING therefrom that portion thereof lying with-
in the lines of said St. Marys Road.

PORTION OF CANYON ROAD IN MORAGA CENTER
TO BE ABANDONED
A strip of Land 50 feet wide, the center line of
which is described as follows:
BEGINNING at a paint on the center line of Canyon
Read (50 feet wide) distant thereon north 16° 431 24" east
(the bearing of north 160 43t 24" east being taken as the
bearing of this line for the purpose of this description)
2503 feet from the intersection thereof with the center line
of Sanders Drive, as said drive is shown on the map cf
"Tract 2592, Contra Costa County, California", etc. , filed
April 16, 1959 in Volume 72 of maps at page 33, Contra Costa
County Records; thence from said point of beginning running
along said center line of Canyon Road as said road now
exists north 160 43t 24" east, 36 feet; thence northeasterly
and tangent to said course along the arc of a circle to the
right having a radius of 1200 feet, a distance of 151.4.9
feet; thence tangent to said circle north 23° 571 23" east,
325.41 feet to a point on the direct extension south 63" O8t
57" east of the southwestern line of a strip of land 1030 feet
wide as described in the deed from The Moraga Company to
Contra Costa County, recorded July 1, 1918 in Book 317 of
Deeds at page 476 in the office of the County Recorder of
Centra Costa County.

A 6o-FOOT ROAD IN MORAGA CENTER
TO BE ABANDONED
A strip of land 60 feet gide as described in the deed
from The Moraga Company to Contra Costa County recorded in book
317 of deeds at page 476, Contra Costa County Records, the cen-
ter line which is described as follows
"A strip of land 60 feet wide and lying 30 Feet at
right angles on each side of the following described
line: _ Beginning at a point on the easterly line of the
road known as the Jonah Hill Road and distant south 520 11'
east, 26.97 feet from a concrete monument set on the center
line of said road, as said monument is described in said
deed (317 D 476) ; thence south 520 11' east, 201.48 feet
to the centerline of St. Mary's Road."
