County Property.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa does
resolve as follows :
THAT the Director of Public Works has informed this Board that
the property described in the Notice to Bidders, attached hereto
and incorporated herein, and made a part hereof is no longer re-
quired for county purpose and recommends that the property be sold
atpublic auction to the highest bidder for cash; and
THAT the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
finds and determines that the above described property is no longer
needed for any County purpose and hereby directs the County alight
of tray Agent to sell said property at public auction to the highest
bidder for cash, in accordance with terms and conditions of sale
prepared by the Right of '4ay Agent which are hereby approved; and
THAT this Board sets Tuesday, the 12th day of September, 1961
at 10:00 a.m. in the Supervisors Chambers, Hall of Records,
Martinez, California, as the time and place where sealed bids shall
be received and publicly opened, at which time anyone present may
offer orally to increase the amount of the highest written bid.
The successful bidder must immediately deposit cash equal to twenty--
five per cent (250) of the bid price and must pay the balance in
cash within ten (10) days; and
THAT the Clerk of this Board is directed to Dost and to
publish at least five (5) days prior to said sale in the
"LAFAYETTE STIN" , notice of the intended sale of the a ove
property. Said notice is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

AYES: Supervisors Thomas Jahn Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid,
Joseph S. Silva.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Supervisors James P. ;Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The 'County Rig-ht of Way Agent will sell at public auction to
the highest responsible bidder, certain real property located on

the sollth side of Mt. Diablo Boulevard at the intersection of
Village Center, Lafayette, being more particularly described as
follows:
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto incorporated herein and made
a part hereof.
The auction will be held in the Supervisors Chambers, Hall
of records Building,. Martinez, California, at 10:00 a.m. , Tuesday,
the 12th day of September, 1961.
Terms and conditions of sale and proposal forms are available
at the office of the County Right of Way Agent, 1139 Main Street,
Martinez, California.
The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids
received.

Abandonment
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1 as said lot is
shown on the subdivision map entitled "Sunset Village Unit No. 1",
recorded August 1 , 1946 in Book 30 of Maps at page 21+, Contra
Costa County California:
Thence from said point of beginning easterly along the
northerly line of said Lot 1 and along a curve to the left with
a radius of 2110.00 feet, the center of which bears North 19°
441 55" West, an are distance of 80.59 feet to a point of reverse
curve; thence along said reverse curve with a radius of 20.030
feet, through an angle of $O° 311 13", an arc distance of 30.90
feet to a point of cusp; thence North 23° 251 West 60.02 feet-
thence northerly and westerly along a tangent curve to the lekt
with a radius of 20 feet, through an angle of 880 281 39", an arc
distance of 30.$8 feet to a point of reverse curve ; thence west-
erly along said reverse curve with a radius of 2050.00 feet,
through an angle of 2° 151 12" an are distance of 80.62 feet; thence
South 230 251 East 60.12 feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING THEREFROM, pursuant to the provisions
of Section 959.1 of the Streets and Highway Code, the easement and
right at any time or from time to time for the owner of an exist-
ing facility used for utility purposes, including but not limited
to transmission and distribution lines for electric power and
communication services to maintain operate, replace, remove,
renew and enlarge existing lines of poles, wires and other con-
venient equipment . and fixtures for the operation of existing
facilities, including access to work on the facilities and to
protect the facilities from all hazards, in, upon, under and over
the parcel of Land described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the southwesterly boundary line of
the hereinbefore described road to be abandoned, from which the
northwest corner of said Lot 1 bears South 234 251 East, 39.0 feet
distant and running thence North 580 341 East 56 feet; thence South
710 001 East, 61.5 feet, more or less, to the northeasterly boundary
line of the hereinbefore described road to be abandoned- thence
North 23a 25t gest 35 feet; thence northerly and westeriy along a
tangent curve to the left with a radius of 20 feet, through an
angle of 88* 28t 39", an arc distance of 30.88 feet to a point of
reverse curve; thence westerly along said reverse curve with a
radius of 2050.00 feet, through an angle of 20 15t 12" an arc dis-
tance of 80.62 feet; thence South 230 25t East 21.1 feet to the
point of beginning.
