HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-210 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Protest Hearing on Proposed In- corporation of the City RESOLUTION No- 210 of Pleasant Hill. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa does resolve as follows : THAT pursuant to the resolution and order of this Beard adopted the 20th day of June, 1961, the continued hearing on the proposed incorporation of the City of Pleasant Hill was held by this Board on the 18th day of July, 1961; THAT the following appeared and requested exclusion of certain properties, for which petitions for exclusion have been filed with the Clerk: Mr. Sam Hall, Attorney, who requested that all property north of Arnold Industrial Highway be excluded, and that the boundary be fixed at Golf Club Road to Paso Nogal Road; Mr. King Parker, Jr., representing the Pacheco Chamber of Commerce, who requested exclusion of property bounded by Golf Club Road on the south to Arnold Industrial Highway on the north, and from Buchanan Field on the east to the Contra Costa Canal on the west, and who filed a report entitled "Pacheco Incorporation Study"; Mr. J. J. Hanson, 1955 Monument Boulevard, Concord, who requested exclusion of property located north of Monument Boulevard, bounded on the east by the Southern Pacific Rail- road or City of Concord, and on the east by the Walnut Creek channel. Mr. Hanson also requested exclusion of property owned by Mr. William Hall, who has not filed a written pro- test as of this date; Mr. Robert Beaton, 2048 Oak Park Boulevard, Concord, who requested exclusion of his property; Mr. Jack Fries, who requested exclusion of his property lying north of Arnold Industrial Highway; THAT Mr. Jerry Tara, Deputy County Assessor, appeared and reported that the District . Attorney has informed his office that any protests or requests for exclusion received after the notice of in- tention was filed, are valid; RESOLUTION NO. 2 1 0 THAT the hearing on the proposed incorporation of the City of Pleasant Hill be continued until Thursday, August 10, 1961, at 2 p.m., in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, Hall of Records, Main and Court Streets, Martinez, California; and THAT August 3, 1961, is fixed as the deadline for re- ceiving protests and requests for exclusion, said protests and re- quests for exclusion to be filed with the Clerk on or before August 3, 1961, or postmarked on or before midnight of said date . PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 1961, by the fol- lowing vote of the Board AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. 0
