HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-208 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Rates paid to child care institutions . RESOLUTION No. 208 WHEREAS, it is necessary for the County Probation De- partment and the County Social Service Department from time to time to make placements of certain juveniles in private insti- tutions; and WHEREAS, the cost of such placement is met in part from county funds; and WHEREAS, the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors has this date adopted a schedule of rates to be paid to child care institutions to be made effective August 1, 1961, and to remain unchanged through June 30, 1962; and WHEREAS, the rates established for the balance of the 1961-1962 fiscal year are in some cases less than the amount re- quested by the institutions, and WHEREAS, several Bay Area counties make placements in the same institutions; and WHEREAS, it is desirable that the rates paid by Contra Costa County be fixed at the same level as other Bay Area coun- ties, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Office of the County Administrator . is authorized to work co-operatively with other interested Bay Area counties to achieve equity and uni- formity of rates paid to child care institutions . PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 1961, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Mel F. Nielsen, Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva .
