HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 10172007 - RES-175 • NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE SAN PAABLO LIGHTING DISTRICT OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Annexation RESOLUTION NO. of Certain Territory to the San Pablo Lighting District. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ANNEX The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa does resolve as follows; THAT the hereinafter described property is contiguous to the San Pablo Lighting District and is not within the limits of any other Lighting District; and THAT a petition signed by owners representing at Least 1/4 of the total assessed value of the real property here- inafter described as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Contra Costa and representingat least 1/4 of the total number of owners of the real property in said hereinafter described territory has been filed with this Board requesting the annexation of certain hereinafter described property to said District; and THAT the Board of Supervisors hereby fixes 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, the 25th day of July , 1961, in the Chambers of the 3oard. of Supervisors; Hall of-Records, Martinez, California, as the time and place for hearing of the proposed annexation of the hereinafter described territory; and THAT the Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice of said time and place of hearing for two weeks in the SAN PABLO NEWS, a newspaper published and circulated in the County in which the District is situated and which the Board deems most likely to give notice to the inhabitants of said territory. At said hearing the Board shall hear any person object- ing to the annexation or inclusion of any portion of the terri- tory within the District. THAT property proposed to be annexed to said San Pablo Lighting District is described as follows; RESOLUTION NO. 7_5 Portion of Lot 198, Ban Pablo Rancho, filed March 1, 1894, in the office of the County Recorder of Contra Costa County, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the northern line of Silver Avenue with the western line of Truman Addition filed November 18, 1912, in Nap Book 8, page 198, said point being the southwest corner of Lot 136, Block 5, Truman Addition, and a point on the boundary line of the San Pablo Lighting District; thence Northerly along the western line of the Truman Addition and the extension thereof, to the southwest line of Central Street; thence North 47a West along the southwest line of Central Street to the most northern corner of the parcel of land described in the deed from Parr Industrial Corpora- tion to Housing Authority of the .County of Contra Costa, recorded March 5, 1959, Recorders File No. 1 €511; thence South 59° 15' Fest 358.44 feet; thence South 00 04, East- 764.7 feet to the western extension of the center line of Silver .Avenue, 'being an angle point in the boundary line of the San Pablo Lighting District; thence Easterly and Northerly along the boundary line of the San Pablo Lighting District to the point of beginning. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of June , 1961, by the following vote of the-card: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Net F. Nielsen, Thomas John Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, Joseph S. Silva.
